House of Hope seeks to be a place of welcome and hospitality. The New Testament Greek word philoxenia means ‘love of strangers’ and is usually translated with the single word ‘hospitality’.
Jesus himself loved spending time with people over a meal, whether that be at a sumptuous wedding, on the beach or in a field, or in the home of someone most people avoided.
‘Soup on Sunday’ is a simple community meal meal at 5pm on the first Sunday of the month during the cooler months. Whether you’re travelling through town or a local who’d like to enjoy a meal with others from the community, we’d love you to come.
Our hope is that everyone who comes through the doors of House of Hope will receive the hospitality and welcome of Christ Himself.
